There is a greenhouse in Mont Alto, PA on the old State Forest Nursery grounds. The nursery was the site of the first Pennsylvania white pine plantation and preceded founding of the State Forest Academy in Mont Alto by one year.

The nursery land has been absorbed into the Penn State Mont Alto campus. The greenhouse facilities are in gross disrepair and will be demolished soon.
